I try something different every time we eat here. It's always good. You will not leave this place hungry that is for sure!!!

I had the deluxe berrito plate, my lil brother had the chicken tacos, and sister had the chimichagas. We were all very pleased with the food and the service.

Very bad attention the soda tasted like chlorine, they did not serve me what I ordered and the meat very hard.And the manager was very rude when I asked her to please change my soda

Ordered to go since I was on lunch. They did a good job of getting the food out fairly quickly, but they messed up my order entirely. I asked for no queso (lactose) and they smothered it all over the top. Ruined my meal. And for just the burrito my total was $15. Take what you want from this. Not going back.

The most disgusting "Mexican" food I have ever had in my life. Tried for the first time tonight (take out) paid almost 30.00 for one burrito and two Chile rellanos plate. No beans or rice. Cold tortilla used for the burrito and some type of cheez whiz. This was the most disgusting food ever. I can not understand the good reviews here the food is just gross. If I ate in person I would have refused to pay that how awful it is!!!!!

pretty good mexican but nothing special. There just isnt alot of competition for mexican around here.

Great food and service

I judge all other Mexican restaurants by El Mexicano. I've been going there at least once a week for a couple years now. The fare is excellent, top-notch. The restaurant is owned by a friendly Mexican family that runs the operation itself day in and day out, and the food strikes me as "authentic."

My favorite mexican joint in New Iberia, great staff, cheap delicious food, & dope margaritas.

I normally get the fajita burrito. This time it was not the best. The cheese was very watery. They also painted the restaurant and it's not as cheerful as it was with the wild colors.

Not my favorite Mexican place but no crowd and good Margareta's.

The food is awesome and comes out the kitchen fairly quickly.

This place is delish! The super burrito is my favorite! Very reasonable prices.

I ate here because I saw that they had stuffed releno peppers. What I was served was a disgusting Mexican version of eggplant parmesan. I could tell it was not made fresh between the quickness in which it was served and the disgusting way it tasted. I also had the guacamole salad which was a bunch of shredded lettuce with a big glob of guacamole on the side. Our service was horrible, our waitress didn't stop at our table to ask how our meal was and when I was able to flag her down to tell her it was inedible she didn't even have a response. I also had to ask for the check.If you looking for delicious authentic Mexican food this is not the place to go, you would be better off with a frozen Mexican style dinner from wal-mart, it would be a heck of a lot cheaper too!!!

Arrived at lunchtime. Service was quick, and food was piping hot and delicious. Will definitely be going back.

Big portions, cheap margaritas, nice staff. The enchilada sauce is a little greasy, but yummy nonetheless. Good desserts, burritos, and fajitas.
